Wallpaper Installation Across Palm Beach County

The short answer

WallEdge Installation hangs, removes and repairs wallpaper in homes and condos throughout Palm Beach County, from Boca Raton to Lake Park. We adapt prep and materials to coastal salt air, inland humidity and each building's rules.

Palm Beach County stretches from the barrier-island towns along the Atlantic to the rural edges of Loxahatchee Groves, and WallEdge Installation works throughout much of it from our base in Boynton Beach. Our route runs north through Lantana, Lake Worth Beach and West Palm Beach as far as Riviera Beach, Lake Park and Mangonia Park, and south through Delray Beach, Highland Beach and Boca Raton. Between those points are the small coastal municipalities, including Ocean Ridge, Briny Breezes, Manalapan, Gulf Stream, South Palm Beach and Palm Beach itself, plus inland neighborhoods in Greenacres, Atlantis, Haverhill, Westgate, Glen Ridge, Cloud Lake and Lake Clarke Shores. The housing mix is wide, and each type asks something different of a wallcovering installer.

Oceanfront condos and island homes

Along A1A in Highland Beach, South Palm Beach, Palm Beach Shores and Palm Beach, much of the work happens in high-rise and mid-rise condominiums. Those jobs come with association requirements: approved work hours, elevator padding, loading-zone time limits and sometimes a certificate on file with management before we can start. We coordinate those details ahead of the visit so the install day is spent on the walls, not in the lobby.

Salt air and open balcony doors raise indoor humidity near the water. For rooms facing the ocean we lean toward primers with mildew resistance and wallcoverings that tolerate moisture, and we ask owners to keep the AC running while paste cures.

Inland neighborhoods and older ranch houses

West of the Intracoastal, in places like Greenacres, Lake Clarke Shores, Haverhill and parts of West Palm Beach and Lake Worth Beach, many homes are single-story concrete-block houses built decades ago. Inside, it is common to find several layers of paint, popcorn ceilings, or wallpaper hung directly onto unprimed drywall. Removing that old paper without tearing the drywall face is often half the project, followed by skim coating where needed and a proper wallcovering primer.

Newer construction in Boca Raton and western communities brings different issues, such as heavy wall texture and very tall great-room walls that need scaffolding.

Services available countywide

The same scope of work is available whether you live on the barrier islands or out west.

  • Traditional, grasscloth and peel-and-stick wallpaper installation
  • Old wallpaper removal and wall repair
  • Accent walls, murals and ceiling papers
  • Vinyl and commercial wallcoverings for offices, rentals and condo common areas

Timing around the weather

Interior work goes on all year, but the season still matters. From May through October, afternoon thunderstorms and high humidity are routine, and the Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30. If a storm brings a roof or window leak, we wait until the wall has dried and the source is repaired before papering over it. The drier months from November into April are popular for larger projects, so booking early in fall helps if you have a date in mind.

What to expect

How a visit goes

  1. Prep before paper

Holes, texture, old adhesive and stains are dealt with first, then the wall gets a primer suited to the product.

  2. Layout you can see

We show you where the pattern will be centered and where partial strips will fall before anything is pasted.

  3. Straight answers

If a wall has a moisture problem or a paper is wrong for the room, we tell you plainly and suggest another route.

FAQ

Common questions

Don’t see your question? Call (561) 834-7669 and we’ll talk it through.

How far north and south do you travel in Palm Beach County?

Our service area runs roughly from Boca Raton in the south to Lake Park and Mangonia Park in the north, with inland towns like Greenacres and Loxahatchee Groves included.

Can you work in a condo with strict building rules?

Yes. Tell us the association's requirements and we will plan around work hours, elevator reservations and any paperwork management needs.

Do oceanfront rooms need a different wallpaper?

They benefit from moisture-tolerant papers and mildew-resistant primer, plus steady air conditioning. Delicate natural fibers can still work with care.

Can you remove old wallpaper in an older home?

Yes. We strip it, repair any damaged drywall and prime before new paper goes up, which is common in older ranch houses across the county.

Is it a problem to schedule during hurricane season?

Not usually. Indoor work continues, though we will postpone a job if a storm causes leaks or long power outages that leave walls damp.

Planning a wallpaper project?

Tell us about the room, the paper you have in mind and the condition of the walls. We will set up a visit to measure and walk you through the scope.
