The short answer
Yes, WallEdge Installation works throughout Boca Raton, including ZIPs 33431, 33432, 33486, 33487 and 33496. We hang, remove and repair wallpaper in condos, houses and commercial spaces, and plan each job around building rules, humidity and storm season.
Boca Raton is about eleven miles south of us, close enough that our crew drives down from Boynton Beach on a normal workday and back again without staging anything overnight. The city covers a lot of ground, from oceanfront towers in 33432 to inland neighborhoods in 33496 and 33487, and the walls in those places are not the same. A high-rise unit facing the Atlantic has different needs than a single-story block house farther west. This page walks through how we handle that range, what building managers usually require, and which wallcoverings tend to hold up in the Boca climate.
Working inside a condo building
A large share of our Boca calls come from condominium owners. Those jobs start with paperwork rather than paste. Most associations want contractor forms on file, a reserved service elevator, and work limited to set weekday hours. We send what the management office asks for ahead of time so the front desk is expecting us.
Inside the unit we protect floors and furniture, carry rolls and tables through common hallways without scuffing them, and haul every scrap of old paper out ourselves instead of leaving it in a shared chute. Noise stays low: stripping and hanging wallpaper is far quieter than tile or drywall demolition, which neighbors appreciate.
East of the Intracoastal versus out west
Location changes the plan. Units and houses near the beach deal with salt air that finds its way in through sliding doors and balcony openings. Metal-flecked papers and some foils can dull over time there, so we steer coastal clients toward vinyl, coated non-wovens or sealed grasscloth.
Inland homes in the western ZIPs are often newer construction with knockdown or orange-peel texture on the drywall. Texture is the main obstacle for thin or glossy papers, so those projects usually include a skim coat before anything is hung. Older Boca houses built with concrete block walls get their joints checked for hairline cracks that would otherwise show through a smooth paper.
Services Boca clients ask for most
Requests vary, but a few come up again and again:
- Removal of dated wallpaper left by a previous owner, followed by wall repair and primer.
- Grasscloth in living rooms, dens and primary bedrooms where natural texture softens a large space.
- Accent walls and murals behind beds, dining tables and entry consoles.
- Ceiling wallpaper in dining rooms and powder rooms to draw the eye upward.
- Vinyl wallcovering in bathrooms, laundry rooms and rental units that need to wipe clean.
- Commercial wallcovering for medical suites, offices and retail spaces, scheduled after hours when needed.
Seasonal residents and empty units
Some owners spend summers elsewhere and want the work done while they are away. That is possible, with one condition: the air conditioning must stay on. A sealed unit with the cooling switched off during the wet months from May to October can get damp enough to lift fresh seams. We ask for the thermostat to remain at a steady setting and for access arranged through the management office or a trusted contact.
We also keep hurricane season in mind. Between June 1 and November 30, an approaching storm can mean shutters closed, elevators locked out and power interruptions. If a watch is issued near your install date, we move the date. Winter, when the air is drier, is a comfortable time for big or delicate jobs.
Glass walls, strong sun and fading
Many Boca living rooms are built around floor-to-ceiling glass. That light is lovely, but direct South Florida sun can bleach natural fibers and some inks within a few seasons, especially on a wall that faces west or south. Before you fall for a sample, hold it on the actual wall at mid-afternoon and see how it reads.
For sun-struck rooms we lean toward papers rated for light fastness, solid-color vinyls, or patterns where slight fading will not be obvious. Window film and shades help too. Grasscloth and silk-look papers still work beautifully on interior walls, hallways and rooms with smaller windows, where the light is gentler and the color stays true longer.
Neighbors along the route
Driving to Boca, we pass through or near Delray Beach, Gulf Stream, Briny Breezes, Ocean Ridge and Hypoluxo, and serve each of those towns the same way. If you own property in more than one of them, we can coordinate projects back to back.
