Mural Installation for Briny Breezes Homes

The short answer

We install printed murals in Briny Breezes homes, from seascapes to botanical scenes, usually in one visit. Accurate measuring, a smooth primed wall and moisture-tolerant mural material are what make the image look seamless and last.

When the ocean is a short walk away, it is natural to want a little of that view indoors. Printed wall murals let you bring a seascape, a palm canopy or a sunlit tropical garden onto a wall, and in a compact Briny Breezes home a single mural can become the room's centerpiece. WallEdge Installation is based in Boynton Beach, roughly two miles to the northwest, and we hang murals here with close attention to fit, alignment and the realities of coastal humidity.

Choosing an image for a small space

Scale is everything with murals in compact rooms. A scene with a deep horizon, such as open water, a long beach or a path disappearing into trees, creates a sense of distance and can make a wall seem to recede. Busy close-up images, like dense foliage at full size, add energy but can make a small room feel closer. Neither is wrong; it depends on whether you want the room to feel airy or cozy.

Color plays along. Soft, faded tones such as washed blues and sandy neutrals keep a mural calm, while saturated sunset oranges make a statement. Before ordering, we suggest printing a small section of the image or requesting a sample to view in your own light.

  • Open horizons and distant views to stretch a short room
  • Close-up botanicals for a lush, enclosed feeling
  • Muted coastal palettes for bedrooms and reading corners
  • Bold, saturated images for a dining wall or entry

Measuring for a custom print

Many murals are printed to order, which means the printer relies entirely on the dimensions you provide. We measure the full width and height at several points, note any out-of-square corners, and mark outlets, switches, thermostats and trim. We then add bleed on each side so the image can be trimmed to fit precisely. That extra margin is what saves a mural when a ceiling line wavers, which is common in older and factory-built homes alike.

Material choices near the water

Briny Breezes lives with ocean humidity all year and heavy, wet summers from May through October. Mural material should be able to take that. Non-woven murals are our usual recommendation: they are dimensionally steady, go up with paste applied to the wall, and come off dry later on a primed surface. Vinyl-coated murals add wipeability for kitchens and kids' rooms. Peel-and-stick murals are tempting for their convenience, but the adhesive can soften and let go in warm, damp air, so we only suggest them for smooth walls in rooms that stay cool.

Installation, panel by panel

The first panel sets the course for the rest, so it goes up against a carefully drawn plumb line. Each following panel is matched to its neighbor at the seam and smoothed from the middle out to push out air. We step back after every panel to check the image from where you will normally see it, since alignment problems that are invisible up close can jump out from across the room.

At windows, doors and outlets we position the panel first and cut second, so the scene continues naturally around the opening. Final trimming happens at the ceiling and baseboard, and the room is cleaned before we go.

Wall surfaces we see in Briny Breezes

Homes here range from conventional drywall interiors to factory-finished wall panels with visible seams. A mural will reveal any ridge or gap beneath it, so we fill seams, sand and prime as needed. If a panel surface has a slick vinyl face, we use a bonding primer so the paste grips.

Once the mural is up, keep furniture an inch or two off the wall so chair backs and table edges do not scuff the print. On walls that catch strong afternoon sun, sheer curtains or UV window film help keep colors from fading. A soft, dry cloth handles routine dusting, and the leftover offcuts are worth saving for small repairs.

FAQ

Common questions

Don’t see your question? Call (561) 834-7669 and we’ll talk it through.

Can a mural make my small room look bigger?

A scene with a distant horizon or open space can create a feeling of depth. Busy, close-up imagery tends to make a room feel cozier instead.

Do I need to measure before ordering a mural?

Yes, and we recommend letting us measure. Custom prints depend on exact dimensions plus a bleed margin for trimming.

Is peel-and-stick a good idea near the beach?

Usually not for long-term use. Warm, humid air can weaken the adhesive, so pasted non-woven murals are more dependable.

Can you hang a mural over wall panel seams?

We fill and smooth the seams first and prime the surface. Otherwise the seams would show through the image.

How long will installation take?

Most single-wall murals are installed in one visit, with a second trip only if the wall needs extra smoothing that has to dry.

Planning a wallpaper project?

Tell us about the room, the paper you have in mind and the condition of the walls. We will set up a visit to measure and walk you through the scope.
